Well, I'm a writer/crafter, but some days I'm a crafter/writer. Basically, I'm conflicted about my identity.
I'm also a Filipino-American Brooklynite living in small village somewhere north of New York City with my husband and children. I'm an Aries, a southpaw, and an addict of celebrity gossip magazines. My mind is an endless cesspool of movie trivia, especially anything that Tom Cruise appeared in. I lack an inner monologue and wear size 2 jeans.
I'm struggling to update my ESTY store. All the things that I make are usually sold to a friend or given away as a gift, so I have a slight problem with inventory. And I'm not as consistent with my daily crafting as I'd like to be. Life--or my kids' social calendar--tend to distract me.
Despite all my aforementioned shortcomings, I do manage to write articles for Divine Caroline , a webzine "aimed a real women." And I've published three books:
THE GREEN CRAFTER (Citadel, 2009)
52 Eco Friendly Projects for Every Week of the Year
For crafters of all levels and various backgrounds, each project uses materials either bound for the trashcan or recycle bin. With over 500 b/w and 50 color photos. Chapters include helpful "look ahead" lists of recycled materials needed as well as not-so common holidays and famous birthdays that may inspire the reader.
BABY BY THE NUMBERS (Chronicle, 2008)
A Parents' Quick Reference for Baby Facts and Figures
For new or expecting parents, presenting them with all the essential facts they need. Using easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and lists, this helpful guide sheds light on every part of baby's development-from physical to emotional to intellectual-and also provides information on a wealth of common childhood ailments and remedies.
NOTEWORTHY (MetroBooks, 2008)
Handcrafted Cards to Make in Minutes
Book and kit, with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and diagrams for six stylish and creative card designs, as well as full-color photos of the finished cards.
